(Indianapolis, IN) – Twenty-eight households across 15 Indiana counties are the beneficiaries of the 18th round of the state’s Connectivity Program, which is awarding $133,943 to expand broadband access.
In our area, Southeastern Indiana REMC will receive $9,143 to provide internet service to two homes in Ripley County.
“Every investment we make expands reliable, high-speed internet across Indiana,” said Governor Mike Braun. “Providing dependable broadband unlocks vital access to employment, education, and healthcare, driving economic growth and enhancing the quality of life to every Hoosier.”

“We have a great partnership with internet service providers around the state,” said Chief Broadband Officer Megan Minor. “It is truly a game-changer for being able to connect Hoosiers, especially those in rural locations.”
As of Round 18, the program has allocated over $14 million to provide service to more than 3,600 households, businesses, and community anchor institutions across the state.
Unserved or underserved home or business owners can apply to the program by entering their information into the portal to initiate their interest in receiving broadband service.
If any provider is interested in participating in the program, they must contact the ICP team at NLC@ocra.in.gov.
Broadband providers must complete their projects within nine months of the contract date.
