A Holton man that had been eluding police in several counties was apprehended in Jennings County.

Tyler had previously escaped officers after leading them on vehicle and foot pursuits in Ripley, Jennings, and Jefferson counties.

Police received a tip that he had been seen in a wooded area along County Road 830 East in Nebraska. Tyler attempted to flee police, but he was tracked down with the help of an Indiana State Police K-9.

After being taken into custody, Tyler was transported to an area hospital for treatment of dog bites received while resisting arrest. He was later released and transported to the Jennings County Jail. He is facing felony charges in multiple counties, including Ripley.
