Hollis “Yogi” David Campbell, 79, of Sunman passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Yogi was born on Tuesday, January 20, 1942 in Granite Falls, North Carolina. He worked for Pri-Pak as a production supervisor until his retirement. He liked to stay busy, so he went to work at Argosy Casino, which was just a second job to him, while still working for Pri-Pak. Yogi was a member of the Concord Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, watching old westerns, and loved his dog “Rambo”. He was a man of surprises, always surprising his family by taking them out to eat at new restaurants, trying out new cuisines. He also surprised his family by taking them out on family adventures.
Yogi is survived by his daughter Cynthia “Cindy” (Richard) Davis of Sunman; sisters Kay (Gary) Bradley of Granite Falls, North Carolina and Doris Ann Camp of Hudson, North Carolina; grandchildren Branden Mangold and Hana Mangold; and great-grandchild Myra Bourne. Yogi was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother Larry Keller.
