Holcomb makes Shelby County court appointment

Indianapolis, In. — Indiana governor Eric Holcomb has appointed Trent Meltzer to the Shelby County Circuit Court. Meltzer will succeed Judge Charles D. O’Connor, who retired Aug. 23.

Meltzer currently serves as the city attorney in Shelbyville and has been with that office since 2010. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and a law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.

Meltzer will be sworn in as Judge of the Shelby County Circuit Court on a date to be determined.
