High winds causing damage and power outages

Sunman, IN—As high winds and rain moved through the area this morning, thousands of people woke up without power.  Roughly 1000 customers are currently without power according to the Duke Energy outage reporter in the Sunman/ Penntown area as of 6 am.  According to the Duke, power will be back for the area by 1 p.m. Monday.

A wind advisory was issued across the Tri-State as winds reached 54 mph.

Wind also caused several reports of damage in the area including blowing the roof off the Aurora shell station on US 50.
