Batesville, Ms— Batesville police have made two arrests in connection with a recent bomb threat at the high school. Major Brad Wessel says two males, 14 and 12 years old are in custody in Batesville, Mississippi. A report from the police department says the arrests were made on Friday.
The pair will face felony bomb threat and misdemeanor telephone harassment charges. Additionally, the pair face the humiliation of phoning the threat to the wrong school.
On Wednesday December 6 at 8:14 a.m. Batesville High School staff notified police about a bomb threat that had been called in. As the investigation developed police quickly determined the call came from Batesville, Mississippi and there was no explosive device on the grounds. Major Brad Wessel thanked the Mississippi officials for quick action in the matter.
