Helen Marie Prifogle of Brookville, was born on January 14, 1926 in Franklin County, the daughter of Albert and Amelia Decker Eckerle. She married Clarence L. Prifogle in May of 1946 at St. Cecelia-Oak Forest. Helen was former employee of Pohler Fabric, and a member of St. Michael Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She loved to sew and enjoyed making all types of clothing. On Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the age of 90, Helen passed away at Brookville Healthcare Center.
Those surviving who will honor Helen’s memory include her son, James (Jean) Prifogle of Klemmes Corner; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence; brothers, Butch, Herb, Gill, Ray, James and Al Eckerle; one sister, Fern Amrhein, and a son, John L. Prifogle.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A Mass of Christian burial, celebrated by Rev. John Kamwendo will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
