(Southeastern IN) – Heavy rains led to flooding and power outages in parts of the area Sunday evening.
The storms also packed damaging winds and a lot of hail.
A tree fell on a power line at Main and Washington in Oldenburg, and a number of streets in the Village of Spires were impassable due to flooding.
St. Mary’s Road was also underwater for a time.
There were also reports of fallen trees and power lines in northeastern Ripley County.
Several power outages remained as of this morning, but most of the customers who lost electricity at the height of the storms have had service restored.
The Batesville Airport received over an inch of rain, and some observers reported more than two inches of rain as a result of the storms.
