Heat Advisory In Effect From Noon Tuesday Until Wednesday Evening

(Southeastern IN) – The area will be under a Heat Advisory from Noon today until 8:00 tomorrow night.

The National Weather Service says heat index values near 100 are expected today, with “feels like” temperatures between 100 and 104 tomorrow.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

You’re urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Forecasters say you should take extra precautions when outside.

Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing.

Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and take action when you see symptoms of heat  exhaustion and heat stroke.
