Heat Advisory Extended to Saturday Night

(Southeastern IN) – The Heat Advisory has been extended 24 hours until 8 p.m. Saturday.

The National Weather Service says we’ll continued to have dangerously hot conditions with heat index values near 100 degrees.

Forecasters say the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity could cause heat illnesses.

You’re urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioning and out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

You should also take extra precautions when outside; wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing; try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
