Ms. Hazel Ann Stamper, age 44, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on February 10, 1979 in Hazard, Kentucky. She was the daughter of, Elzie Stamper and Connie (Chaney) Hawkins. She was raised in Jackson, Kentucky and attended Breathitt County High School. Hazel was employed as a waitress in Jackson, Kentucky and was later employed for Subway in Vevay, Indiana. Hazel enjoyed watching TV, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming and sun bathing. Hazel passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2023, at her residence.
Hazel is survived by her sons, Elzie Brett Costello of Jackson, KY and Andrew Barrett of Vevay, IN; her daughter, Olivia Costello and her companion, Jason Watts of Lost Creek, KY; her mother, Connie (Chaney) Hawkins and step-father, Jerald Hawkins of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Christopher Watts and Bryson Clemmons; her companion, Roger Barrett of Vevay, IN; her sisters, Chanda Johnson and her companion, Mark Shaver of Vevay, IN and Farrah Stamper and her companion, Chris Sparks of Berea, KY and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elzie Stamper and her daughter, Audrey Paige Costello.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Vevay Cemetery, 800 East Main Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
