Harold R. Parrett, of Rushville, was born on September 2, 1943 in Jackson County, Kentucky a son to Aaron and Cleona Johnson Parrett. He served his country with the United States Navy, both active and reserves. Harold married Donna Kunkle Ferman on October 10, 1983 and she survives. He worked at IBEW as an A1 operator and enjoyed spending time outdoors in his spare time – hunting, fishing and gardening. On Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the age of 75, Harold passed away at Reid Health in Richmond.
Those surviving who will honor Harold’s memory include his loving wife Donna Parrett; children, Scott (Alice) Parrett of Connersville, Dianne Stine of Franklin, TN, Teresa Ruff of Louisville, KY, Joyce (Eric) Lipe of Landis, NC, and Ken (Beth) Ferman II of Metamora; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Don (Darla) Parrett of Rushville, Barbara Wyatt of Rushville, Marjorie Milburn of Metamora, Mae Barker of Metamora, and Lucy (Joe) Halcomb of Metamora, and one sister-in-law, Diann (Jim) Motz. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Sue Lynn, Aaron Parrett, Jr., and Ernest Parrett.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Metamora Church of God. Pastor Wayne Ison will officiate the service at 2 p.m. and burial with military honors will follow in Metamora Cemetery.
