GREENSBURG, IN — Commissioner Mark Koors expressed happiness and satisfaction with the 2022 Decatur County 4-H Fair at this week’s Commissioners meeting.
Koors thanked everyone who attended, as well as those who worked to make the fair a success.
County Commissioners dissolved the 21-member Fair Board last August, citing a lack of financial accountability for past county fairs and mismanagement of the Fairgrounds.
A new, nine-member Fair Board was appointed last month.
Koors also announced that next year’s Decatur County Fair will start a week later than usual on July 13.
Also at the Commissioners’ meeting, Mark Mohr announced his retirement as Decatur County Highway Superintendent, effective January 1.
He’ll be replaced by Todd Houk.
Mohr began working for the Highway Department in 1995.
