Handbags for Hope auction goes virtual Saturday

Batesville, IN — Though most events have had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several organizations are becoming creative and going virtual. So is the case for the fundraising event “Handbags for Hope” to benefit Safe Passage.

The purse and “murse” action event will start this Saturday on Facebook Live and will run through August 15. The Facebook Live event will have emcee John Vadeboncoeur returning, and a guest speaker to share about how she found help. You don’t have to have a Facebook account to view this. It will be recorded too. There will be over 70 handbags to bid on and more than half are new and/or designer. The purses can be viewed on Facebook, on the Safe Passage website, or in-person at the Batesville Memorial Public Library starting Saturday.
