‘Handbags 4 Hope’ this weekend in Batesville

Batesville, In. — Tickets for the Handbags 4 Hope fundraiser for Safe Passage are limited, but there are still some available. The 6th annual event is Saturday, August 11 at Batesville Middle School.

The event features a new and gently used purse auction, salad luncheon and a local domestic violence speaker, Dave Strouse, principal of the Batesville Middle School.

Over 70 purses will be available, including brand names such as Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Coach, Kate Spade, Dooney and Burke and Brahmin. New this year is a raffle table. Five dollar raffle tickets will be sold for the chance to win one of the 15 purses on the gently used display table.

Doors open at 9:30 and the program runs until noon. The $8 tickets may be obtained before the event or a table of 6 reserved by contacting Safe Passage at 812 933 1990 or go online at www.safepassageinc.org  Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Safe Passage also welcomes guests to bring a salad to share, but it is not required.

The members of the Community Church/Batesville are providing many volunteer hours to make the event possible.
