H.S. softball recaps from Monday, May 2

The following are high school softball recaps from Monday, May 2.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

South Ripley shut out Milan 11-0.

Mady Tompkins and Ellie Waldron split six innings of work and combined on a four hitter.  Tompkins had six strikeouts and Waldron had five.  Offensively, Waldron had three hits including a two-run homer.  Alexa Heidt, Cassie Franklin and Tompkins all collected two hits. Tompkins drove in three and Brooklyn Brown added two RBI to the mix.

Of the Indians four hits, Chloe Hunter recorded two of them.

Greensburg beat South Decatur 12-2.

For the Cougars, Loryn Pate posted two hits and Lakota Henry doubled with two RBI.

Connersville defeated Lawrenceburg 9-6.

The Spartans broke a 6-6 tie with three runs in the home sixth.   Two came off the bat of Sara Ruble who homered.  She and sister Carmen Ruble both had a three-hit game.   Paige Dunaway recorded two.
