The following are boys golf recaps from Monday, April 11. All recaps are high school unless noted otherwise. There may be updates, so please check back.
North Decatur opened its season with a 160-242 win over Waldron at North Branch.
The Chargers Carson Parmer was medalist with an even-par 36. Colin Brandt was a shot back at 37. Jack Koehne and Brady Espinda rounded out the top four scoring with a 41 and 46 respectively. Xavier Adams and Austin Gould both shot 49.
Lucas Shaw led the Mohawks with a 55. Josh Kellums followed with 57.
The junior high Chargers were also in action at North Branch against South Decatur and won 217-257. North’s Brayden Yeager posted a match-low 49 and teammate Scott Morford carded 52.
Also scoring for the Charger middle schoolers were Aiden Luttel 55, Michah Smith 61 and Cooper Land 68.
Southwestern’s lost to Scottsburg 177-234. Matt Mingione was the low Rebel with a 51. Dave Bowles of Scottsburg was medalist shooting 38.
Other scores for Southwestern: Blake Boley 58, Adam Boley 59, Wade Barker 66 and Wyatt Barker 69.
