H.S. baseball recaps from April 8 and 9

The following are high school baseball from April 8 and 9.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Oldenburg lost 11-7 to Rising Sun.  The Shiners were down one entering the sixth and scored five times over the final two innings to get the road victory.

For OA, Corey Lehmen had three of the team’s seven hits and drove in a run.  Frank Moorman doubled with an RBI.

For the Shiners, Brady Works had two hits and four RBI.  He  also was credited with the win as he tossed the final three innings during the comeback.  Ashton McCarty drove in two runs.

North Decatur beat Morristown 11-3. The Chargers scored six times in the seventh to pull away.

Nate O’Dell had two hits and two RBI to lead ND which had eight hits overall. Nolan Burkhart, Ty Litmer, Zander Jones and Brayden Hancock all had a ribbie. Jones had three steals as well. Litmer also pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts against four walks and four hits.

Batesville’s JV beat Union County 12-2 in Liberty.

The Bulldogs Carter Bohman got the win tossing 4-1/3 innings, striking out six and allowing two earned runs. The BHS reserves had 16 hits with multiple knocks coming from Bohman, Sam Weigel, Bobby Weiler, Cade Kaiser, Nate Vankirk and Alex Baumer.
