Greensburg Woman Killed in Bartholomew County Crash

(Bartholomew County, IN) – A Greensburg woman was killed and two others were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Bartholomew County this week.

It happened at the intersection of County Roads East 100 South and South 525 East, about six miles southeast of Columbus.

51-year-old Tonya Whiteside and 47-year-old Christopher Harris, both of Greensburg, had to be extricated from their car.

Whiteside was pronounced dead at the scene.

Harris and the driver of a pickup truck, 21-year-old Tyler Myers of Bedford, were flown to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office.
