Greensburg woman arrested after traffic stop

drug-arrestGREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg woman was arrested on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop last week.

Angela Arnett, 51, was stopped by the Indiana State Police on State Road 3, near County Road 300 North because of a non-working tail light.

Police say, as the trooper was talking with Arnett, he noticed an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and he asked her to step out of the vehicle.

According to police, while Arnett was exiting the vehicle, a pipe containing burnt plant residue fell from her pant leg, and she attempted to kick it out of the way.

This resulted in a search of the vehicle.

During the search, police found a straw containing powder residue which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Arnett was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
