Greensburg picked up a conference win over South Dearborn Thursday: 25-17, 25-10 and 25-11. The Pirates improved to 15-5 overall and got their first win in the conference in three matches (1-2).
GCHS coach June Rigney reported strong serving came from Josie Nobbe who was 21-21 with 3 aces followed by Jenna Foster and Abigail Hoeing who were both 13-13 with 1 ace each. At the net, Ella Chapman had 14 kills while Nobbe and Leah West both put down 7 kills. In the back court, Abigail Hoeing had 16 digs.
South Dearborn assistant coach Breanna Upton noted SD serving standouts were Arynn Kunkel with 2 aces. Defensive standouts were Arynn Kunkel, Saige Rogers and Rylee Thies.
Knights reported offensive stats included:
- Lillie Davis with 3 block touches, 5 kills and 2 assists
- Emily Elliott with 1 block touch and 5 kills
- Macy Hughes with 3 block touches and 2 kills
- Arynn Kunkel with 8 kills
- Riley Lagaly with 1 kill and 9 assists
- Saige Rogers with 8 assists
- Kaylee Thies with 1 solo block, 1 block touch and 1 kill.
Greensburg was a 2-1 winner in the JV match: 25-19, 24-25 and 15-10.
