GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg man is now facing drug possession charges in Decatur County after being arrested for an active warrant out of Ripley County.
Gene E. Cox, 50, was arrested in Greensburg on Main Street after an officer identified him from previous encounters.
The officer was aware that Cox had an active warrant in Ripley County and he was taken into custody.
Police say Cox told the officer he had nothing illegal on him, but at the Jail, the officer observed a plastic baggy in his wallet that contained a white crystal substance.
The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.
Cox now faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine in Decatur County.
