GREENSBURG, IN — A Greensburg man is facing three felony counts following his arrest this week on sex-related charges.
55-year-old Jeffrey Harold Polk is charged with Rape, Sexual Battery, and Strangulation in connection with an alleged incident at his Ireland Street home involving a woman from Dunkirk, which is north of Muncie.
According to a Probable Cause Affidavit, the woman contacted Polk through Craigslist after a fight with her fiancé.
The woman told investigators that Polk went to Dunkirk and brought her to Greensburg.
Investigators said the woman told them she and Polk had been drinking and she believes he slipped a foreign substance into her drink.
According to the affidavit, the woman told police she then went to bed and that Polk was at times rough after allegedly forcing himself on her.
Polk is being held in the Decatur County Jail on a $250,ooo bond following his initial hearing on Wednesday.
He is scheduled to stand trial on October 3 in Decatur Superior Court.
