(Greensburg, IN) – Greensburg Community High School hosted its third annual Senior Celebration on Friday.

It’s a spotlight for all post-secondary plans.

Guidance counselor Kristy Tebbe says, across the country, students know they need to make their college decision by May 1.

“We created a celebration day based around that. We want to celebrate all of their post-secondary choices,” Tebbe said. “So there’s colleges (pictured), there’s military, there’s employers. We have people here to help students still make their decisions if they’re uncertain. So, it’s really turned into a fun day for them.”

During the event, the seniors heard a guest speaker, and were treated to refreshments.

“Kids are doing great things. And so, I think today is an example of that,” Tebbe said. They work hard, they pay attention to what their opportunities are, and we’re just really proud of the Class of 2026.”

Tebbe adds they’ve been fortunate to receive financial support for the event, including a grant this year from the University of Indianapolis, which allowed them to purchase top notch prizes for the kids.
