Greensburg Girls Soccer traveled to Triton Central Saturday and captured a 2-1 win.
Pirate coach Ryan Morlan reported several minutes fell off the clock before GCHS junior Macey Smith found the net from an assist by senior Kayla Haycock. Ten minutes later, the host Tigers scored and that tied the game 1-1 at the half.
The Tigers fought off several shots on goal by the Pirates until 20 minutes into the second half when Smith found her second goal. This one came after a deflection off the Tigers. The Pirates won 2-1.
Keeper Ella Lowe saw 14 shots on goal from TC and kept all but one off the scoreboard.
This ends the Pirates regular season with a record of 4-8 and a conference of 0-7. There were three non-conference matches the Lady Pirates couldn’t reschedule due to scheduling conflicts.
