GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg home is damaged after an attic fire on Saturday.
Officials say that firefighters responded to a 911 call around 2:30 AM Saturday morning to a home at 1326 N Carver.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the attic.
Flames started coming through the roof while firefighters were getting their hose.
Firefighters had to fight the fire through a window, after they were unable to locate stairs to the attic.
The attic collapsed into the main level of the home.
The family escaped with no injuries.
The Southern Indiana American Red Cross was called to assist the family.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in around 30 minutes.
