(Greensburg, IN) – Greensburg  City Council passed two annexation-related ordinances Thursday night.

One was for property the city owns behind the current Municipal Complex construction project.

City Building Commissioner Sarah Hamer said the property extends across the Bypass and somehow was not annexed into the city years ago.

Hamer told council the matter came to light during a recent land survey in that area.

Council also approved the annexation of 1330 North Anderson Street. Hamer says it’s a Kova Fertilizer-owned building that has remained in the Decatur County limits.

That area in question is made up of several parcels which will be consolidated into one piece.

Both ordinances were passed on 1st reading, the rules were suspended and the ordinances were formally approved on 2nd reading.
