(Greensburg, IN) – The Greensburg Board of Works and City Council each received a monthly update on the Municipal Complex Project Tuesday night.

A new fire station and street department headquarters are being built at Broadway and Barachel.

John Bryant with the Veridus Group, which is acting as the owner’s representative, told council and the board that the project remains on budget at $19,908,000.

He added the project is still on schedule for a spring 2024 completion.

The new fire station will replace the current Fire Station One on Ireland Street, which was been in service since 1975 and is considered obsolete.

The street department will move out of its current building on Monfort Street, which is also considered cramped and outdated.
