Grab the milk – Girl Scout Cookies are here!

Statewide— It’s time to stock up on the milk as truckloads of Girl Scout Cookies are rolling into central Indiana this week. More than 2.2 million packages are being delivered starting Wednesday, Jan. 22 through Sunday, Jan. 26, in cities including Bloomington, Columbus, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Lafayette, Muncie, Richmond, Terre Haute, and many cities in between.

Girl Scouts will begin delivering pre-ordered cookies as soon as they receive them. Girl Scout Cookies will also be sold at troop-run cookie booths in front of grocery stores and other local retailers beginning mid-February through mid-March. The cost is only $5 per package for all Girl Scout Cookie varieties. And again this year, Girl Scout troops will take credit and debit cards at most booth sale locations thanks to a relationship with First Financial Bank.

Girl Scouts across central Indiana will also sell cookies for Operation: Cookie Drop, a council-wide service project to support our local military service members, veterans, and first responders. Girl Scout Cookies will be distributed to soldiers stationed at military bases across central Indiana and military veterans, along with firefighters, police officers, and other people who put their lives at risk to keep us safe. Last year, more than 76,000 packages of Girl Scout Cookies were donated to Operation: Cookie Drop.

Customers who buy cookies from their local Girl Scouts can be assured the proceeds will directly benefit Girl Scouts in their community. Girl Scouts of Central Indiana uses cookie earnings to power amazing experiences for girls through council programming, while girls and their troops decide how to invest in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities, and more. From conquering the rock wall at Girl Scout camp to hands-on robotics activities, Girl Scouts are doing amazing things made possible by each and every cookie sale.

Customers may use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app on their mobile device to find a booth sale in their area. Corporate sponsors for the cookie program are American Dairy Association Indiana and Prairie Farms. Milk and Girl Scout Cookies sure go together!
