Governor says new abortion law up to lawmakers but won’t be “anything goes”

Gov. Eric Holcomb (R-IN)

STATEHOUSE — Governor Eric Holcomb says he will let lawmakers come up with Indiana’s new abortion law, but with limits.

The Governor previously said he would not impose “red lines” for the post-Roe V. Wade legislation, but added Tuesday that lawmakers cannot just come up with whatever they want.

The General Assembly will meet in special session starting July 25 to begin work on Indiana’s new abortion law, as well as return a total of $1 Billion to taxpayers.
