INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Governor Eric Holcomb will hold his first State of the State speech tonight.
He is expected to call for a long-term infrastructure plan that will likely include a tax increase.
Indiana currently has an 18-cents-per-gallon gas tax, and any legislation will likely increase that tax.
Aides say that Holcomb supports raising the gas tax, but he hasn’t said how much.
Tonight’s address will be his first in front of a joint audience of both the Senate and House.
