Gov. directs flags to fly at half-staff

(Statewide) – Governor Eric Holcomb is directing flags to be flown at half-staff across the state in honor of former First Lady of the United States Rosalynn Carter.

Mrs. Carter died last week at her home in Plains, Georgia at the age of 96.

Per President Biden’s orders, flags will be lowered as a show of respect to honor her legacy. The directive is in effect Saturday until sunset on Wednesday, November 29.

Gov. Holcomb is requesting that residents and businesses lower their flags as well.
