Gloria Mae Rumsey

Gloria Mae Rumsey, 95, of Maineville, Ohio, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Mason, Ohio.

She was born July 27, 1926, in Aurora, IN, daughter of the late Elmer Smith and Dorthea (Lange) Smith.

Gloria retired after many years of service with Aurora Casket Company. After retirement, she pursued multiple other careers including, Dearborn County Hospital, Macy’s, Tom Tepe Automotive, EMS training, and Aurora Public Library. She was a longtime member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Gloria was an artist, who enjoyed water color painting. She was a huge Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, loved vacationing at Treasure Island, Florida. She loved time with family. She especially enjoyed treating everyone at meals to their specialty favorite side dishes and deserts. She will be missed by family, church family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her children, Diana Lynn (Thomas) Eigelbach of Maineville, OH, Brian Scott (Linda) Rumsey Sr. of Medina, OH; grandson, Brian Scott Rumsey, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dorthea; her loving husband, Glenn Rumsey; and brother, Don David Smith.

Friends will be received Monday, December 6, 2021, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hogan Hill Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
