(West Harrison, IN) – Givaudan, a global leader in Taste & Wellbeing, has acquired land for a new, state-of-the-art liquids production facility in West Harrison.
Located directly on the Indiana-Ohio border within the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, the site will complement the Company’s existing facility network and represents a step forward in expanding its operational footprint across North America. The initial investment of $215 million will support a facility spanning 24,000 square meters .
This land purchase follows a strategic evaluation of Givaudan’s operational footprint to meet regional demands. The West Harrison location allows Givaudan to accelerate its build timeline while ensuring seamless job retention and commute continuity for its existing workforce. Concurrently, Givaudan is working closely with economic development partners and local leadership to transition its former Reading, Ohio property back to the community for new economic development opportunities.
Working with local partners including Dearborn County, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, and One Dearborn Economic Development, the collaboration aims to pave the way for sustainable growth and development.

The site is positioned for substantial growth over time and is expected to support more than 250 regional jobs across diverse skill sets — highlighting Givaudan’s commitment to fostering local talent pipelines alongside economic development partners across the Tri-State area, including REDI Cincinnati and One Dearborn.

In line with Givaudan’s purpose, the company is committing to community initiatives tailored to the new facility. This includes an initial donation to support Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools. As project plans advance, Givaudan looks forward to identifying meaningful ways to collaborate with local businesses, educational leaders, and community organizations across the region.
Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026 with partial operations to begin in 2028. Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing currently operates 17 locations across the United States and Canada.
