Girls HS Basketball recaps January 15-16

The following are girls basketball recaps from January 15-16 reported to WRBI.

Batesville’s girls varsity topped South Dearborn 57-47.

Emma Weiler and Alyson Peters paced the Bulldogs in scoring with 13 points apiece. Calley Kaiser tallied 12.  Both Kaiser and Sophie Gesell secured five boards while Gesell and Carley Pride each had three assists.

For the Knights, Natalie Rupp scored a game-high 18 points and Kiersten Dixon booked 11.

SD won the JV game 24-20 led by Riley Lagaly’s seven points.

Jac-Cen-Del’s girls varsity defeated Southwestern Shelby 57-42.

The Eagles benefited from a 23-10 third quarter. Reagan Hughes posted 14 points, six dishes and four steals.  Jalee Rider scored 11 and had three swipes while Aundrea Cullen and Annabelle Williams netted nine points each.

The Franklin County girls varsity beat Hagerstown 53-31.

The Wildcats opened up a big lead with an 18-2 second quarter.  They converted 19 of 36 shots from the floor.

Kassidy Schell led the Brookville ladies with 15 points, five rebounds, seven assists and four steals.. Kiersten Schell tallied 11 points and four assists while Josie Rolfes scored eight.
