This week marks the beginning of the girls basketball season. Here is a rundown of opening week action for area teams.
Tonight (Tuesday)…
- Franklin County plays at North Decatur.
- Milan travels to South Decatur.
On Wednesday…
- East Central welcomes South Dearborn for an EIAC matchup.
On Thursday…
- Connersville opens at New Palestine.
- Southwestern Hanover travels to Henryville.
- Shawe plays at Christian Academy.
On Friday…
- Batesville starts the year off at Hauser.
- Jac-Cen-Del entertains Greensburg in a battle of preseason ranked opponents.
- Rushville hosts New Castle.
- South Ripley is in Versailles against Austin.
- Milan heads to Liberty to take on Union County.
- Rising Sun pays a visit to Franklin County.
- Oldenburg is in the Feldhaus to play Providence.
And on Saturday…
- Lawrenceburg plays Charlestown at the Jennings County Tournament which also includes Lafayette Jeff.
- South Dearborn hosts a tournament which has North Decatur, Clarksville and New Washington.
- Batesville brings New Castle to The Pound.
- South Ripley heads to Hope to battle Hauser.
- South Decatur has a Mid Hoosier Conference date at Southwestern Shelbyville.
- Southwestern Hanover travels to Rising Sun for a non-conference meeting.
The only area team not seeing action in week one is Switzerland County. The Lady Pacers first game is Tuesday, November 9th at South Dearborn.
