Girls 1st Round SEI Tourney Results

The 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs won a hard-fought first-round SEI tournament game against Greendale  29-22 last night.  After a strong defensive performance, the Bulldogs hit 10-17 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Lydia Haskamp led the Bulldogs with 10 points; followed by Aly Peters with 8 points; Sophie Gesell with 5 points; Ava Powner with 2 points; and Eden Williams with 1 point.  The Bulldogs play in 2nd round tournament action Tuesday night at Batesville vs. South Ripley at 5:30 pm. Good Luck Lady’s’!!!

The 8th Grade Lady Bulldogs had a heartbreaking loss against Greendale 22-20, in overtime. The Bulldogs played excellent team defense and hit their shots on the offensive side of the floor. The girls fought the entire game and played one of their best games of the season. Leading scorers were Elena Kuisel with 8 points, Kaylin Hinners with 6, Rachel Lamping with 5, and Kaylie Raver chipping in one. Girls had a great season and have grown a lot in each game. Very proud of this team and look forward to seeing where they can go in the future. Good job Bulldogs!

The Lady Eagles hosted the first round of the SEI Tourney against Milan.

The 7th Grade Eagles defeated the Lady Indians 34-5.  Scoring for the Eagles were Delaney Hughes 15, Kelsey Borgman 7, Ashlynn Moorman 5, Cheyenne Cullen 4, Sophia Sullivan 2, Hailey Kunz 1. 
 

The 8th Grade Lady Eagles were victorious over the Milan Indians with a score of 44-18. Scoring for the Eagles were Reagan Hughes 20, Julia Meyer 12, Reese Obendorf 7, Kinsey Rohls 2, Brooklyn Simon 2, Laney Narwold 1. 

The Eagles will be back in action Tuesday night at JCD High School.

Last night St. Louis Lady Cardinals traveled to South Ripley for round one of the SEI tournament.   

The 7th Grade lost round one to South with a final score of 36-4.  Scoring for SLS was Lucy Abplanalp with 4pts.  Nice job ladies.

 

The 8th Grade Lady Cardinals won their first-round to South in double overtime.  With a final score of 56-51.  Scoring for SLS was Kate Weber with 14pts, Catherine Streator with 12pts, Claire Saner with 8pts, Sadie Wachsmann and Ava Owens both with 5pts each, Lilly Schebler with 4pts, and Iza Wonnell with 3pts.  These girls ALL pulled together and not once gave up on winning this game.  We were able to make key plays in overtime to tie it and then finish it.  Nice job.  

Round 2 tonight at BMS 6:30 tip against Greendale.
