
Gerald “Jerry” Miller, 61 of Milan passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side. Jerry was born on Saturday, March 20, 1965, in Dayton, Ohio; son of Gerald Edward Miller and Carole (Walden) Bode. He married the love of his life, Darlena (Craig) Miller on August 8, 1987, and she survives him. Jerry was in the Army National Guard serving 8 years. Jerry worked as a mason for Ollier Masonry for many years and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cars, hiking, camping, and being outdoors. Jerry loved spending time with his family and spending time with his loving wife.
Jerry will be missed by his wife: Darlena Miller of Milan; sons Justin (Jessica) Miller of Milan, Jared (Maddy) Miller of Osgood; father: Gerald Edward Miller of San Antonio, Tx; brother: John (Aimee) Chance of Milan; sisters: Shellie Lopez of San Antonio and Tammy Bode of Milan. 3 grandchildren: Tucker, Jonathan, Beau Miller.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother: Carole (Walden) Bode, stepmother: Valerie Miller and a niece: Felicia Craig.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Jerry from 5pm-7pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday July 23, 2026 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Mosley, Harris Long and Jack Bible officiating. Burial will follow at Mudpike Cemetery in Osgood with military honors provided by the Milan American Legion Post #235. Memorials may be given in honor of Jerry to Cornerstone Baptist Church or Delaware Fire Department.
