George A. Buckler – Brookville

George A. Buckler, of Brookville, was born on April 10, 1952 in Brookville, a son to Lawrence Paul and Hazel Ellen Dougood Buckler and was raised on the family farm which is now Morgan’s Canoe property.  He married Mary Vonderheide on December 3, 1983 and she survives.  George worked for the town of Brookville for 25 years and was a member of St. Michael Church.  He enjoyed muscle cars, hunting, playing pool, raising horses and being outdoors; however, his favorite thing was spending time with his grandchildren and attending all their sports and school activities.  On Friday, November 16, 2018, at the age of 66, George passed away at his residence.

Those surviving who will cherish George’s memory include his wife of over 34 years, Mary Buckler; one daughter, Mary Ellen Buckler (fiancé Jeremy King); one son, John Buckler, and 5 grandchildren, Taiylor, Kaleb, Tony, Hank, and Josy.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
