Batesville, IN—The Batesville Gas Utility will be conducting a gas leak survey in the south and southeastern parts of Batesville as well as all of the downtown area. The survey will take place starting Monday, September 23 and will take roughly 3 to 4 days to complete. Two men will be walking and using a utility cart to check for underground gas leaks in the streets, right-of-ways and onto customers’ property up to the gas meters located outside of each home. This is annual maintenance as part of the utilities maintenance plan.
