Gary W. Meyer, 81 of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016.
He was born in Cincinnati, OH. on March 1, 1935, son of the late Anthony N Meyer and Rosemary Williams Meyer.
Gary served his Country as a member of the United States Army. He worked as a salesperson for International Paper, retiring after over 18 years of service.
Gary was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and member of the J C’s. Gary was in the Barber Shop Quartet as well as the Southern Gateway Chorus. He Enjoyed camping, traveling, and time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years Betty R Meyer; sons, Steve and Paul Meyer both of Aurora, Indiana and grandson, Kyle Meyer and great grandaughter Bailee of Cookeville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Judge Anthony C. Meyer.
Family and Friends will be received Thursday, October 6, 2016, 10:00 am – 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Aurora, Indiana.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church, at 11:00 am with Fr. Stephen Donahue officiating.
