Gary W. Henthorn, 84, of Aurora, IN, formerly of Marietta, OH, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Lawrenceburg, IN.
Gary was born November 5, 1940, in Marietta, OH, to the late Earl William Henthorn and Elizabeth (Strauss) Henthorn.
He worked as a printer for Berman Print, retiring after over 27 years of service.
Gary had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, and mowing lawns. As a sports fan, he cheered for the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State, and the University of Cincinnati. He was also an avid John Deere collector. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Campbell) Henthorn; children: Brent (Nichole) Henthorn of West Jeffersonville, OH, Rhonda (Larry Jr.) Pelfrey of Dillsboro, IN,; son-in-law, Joseph Cooper of Cincinnati, OH; three stepchildren: Christopher (Kellene) Campbell of Burlington, KY, Sherry (Randolph) Warren of Aurora, IN, and Alice (Jason) Webb of Rising Sun, IN; three siblings: Shirley (Eugene) Kirkbride, Barbara (Ronald) Bohlen, and Donald (Clara Jeannie) Henthorn, all of Marietta, OH; as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl William and Elizabeth Henthorn; daughter, Robin Cooper; and brothers, Richard, David, and Charles Henthorn.
Friends are invited to visit at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana, on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon, with Kenny Hopper officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
