Gary Lynn Bewley, 68, passed away on January 9, 2022. He was born on October 2, 1953, to Otis and Zelpha Bewley. He was part of the first set of triplets to be born in Decatur County.
He was a 1971 graduate of North Decatur High School and was a member of Sand Creek Baptist Church.
Gary farmed, raised cattle and hogs, and enjoyed tractor pulling his modified tractor. He enjoyed antique farm equipment and studied the history of Decatur County.
He was extremely proud of his nieces, nephews, and their children and loved following their activities.
Survivors include his brothers, Ed (Clara) Bewley and Ron (Mary) Bewley; sister, Mary (Dave) Bewley Weisheit; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Zelpha (Nelson) Bewley; and brother, Terry Dale Bewley.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with a graveside service to follow at the South Park Cemetery.
