(Ripley/Franklin Counties, IN) – Tornado warnings were issued Tuesday evening, and while there were no reports of damage from the storms, the warnings were posted after funnel clouds and rotating wall clouds were spotted in Ripley and Franklin counties.
The ominous clouds were seen in Ripley County in the Osgood, Napoleon, Holton and Batesville areas, and near St. Mary’s in Franklin County.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning around 7:45 p.m. after radar indicated a tornado and possible pea-sized hail.
The storms left behind minor flooding and some downed trees and limbs.
