Franklin T. Pierce, age 22 of Cincinnati, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Born October 1, 1997 in Cincinnati, he is the son of Peggy (Nee: Hampton) and Tom Pierce. He earned a Masters Degree and was a mechanical engineer for the Perfection Group in Cincinnati.
His family explained that Frank was a natural athlete who excelled at every sport he played, which served him well, as they also indicated he was extremely competitive. He would eventually find a love for running which led him to the University of Cincinnati where he continued to compete. Although a UC alumnus, he was an avid Notre Dame fan. Like many who enter the engineering field, Frank loved to figure out how things worked and why. His Catholic faith was also very important to him. He generously gave of his time to the church and was the type of person who gladly would give the shirt off his back to help someone.
He is survived by his parents Peggy and Tom; sister Eleanor Pierce; brother Nate Pierce, all of Sunman, Indiana; maternal grandmother Donna Hampton of Harrison, Ohio as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather William Hampton and paternal grandfather Thomas Pierce.
Visitation is Friday, September 4th, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church in Sunman with Rev.
