Host Connersville defeated Franklin County’s varsity volleyball team in three Saturday. Finals were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-21.
FCHS coach Jill Mergenthal said,”We may have lost, but it’s games like this I only count on the books as a loss. This team stayed positive, kept talking and really played awesome!”

The Lady Spartans also beat the Cats in three sets: 25-17, 24-25 and 15-7.
JV Wildcat coach Tana Stang said, “We may have lost according to the scoreboard; however, to say I am proud, is an understatement. Over the last week of practice, the JV team has had a lot of different information thrown at them. They used what we learned during practices against the Spartans and that’s a win in my eyes.”
