Franklin County splits in freshman volleyball round robin

Franklin County hosted a freshman volleyball round robin.  The Lady Wildcats split their two matches.

In the opening match, Franklin County lost 2-1 to Talawanda: 25-24, 18-25 and 15-12. Wildcat coach Megan Boone said, “It was a hard fought loss in three sets. The score and stats showed our ladies played a heck of a defensive game they could be proud of!”

Annie Hoff- 6 kills, and 5 digs
Hannah Davis- 3 aces, 2 digs, and 2 assists
Cydney Morehead- 3 aces, 4 digs, and 5 assists
Brooke Stang- 2 aces, 5 digs, and 1 assist
Marisa Marshall- 2 kills and 4 digs.

After East Central and Talwanda played (results not reported), Franklin County and East Central met.  The Wildcats won this match 25-15, 25-14.

“The Cats brought home their second victory of the season and made it look easy and fun,” said Boone. “I’m so proud of all the girls. They are working hard, hustling their tails off and seem to be really settling in and enjoying their time on the court. Great job, Cats!”
