FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. — Students and teacher from Franklin County High School recently received Indiana Student & Teacher Achievement Recognition Awards.
Seniors Kelsey Ball, Maggie McKinney, and Emily Merrell were honored on March 2 at a banquet at Centerville High School.
Franklin County High School Principal Keith Isaacs presented a plaque to the three seniors, who then awarded plaques to the educators who inspired them.
The program was started in 1984 to recognize excellence, integrity, and commitment of students and educators.
The three seniors in the top 10% of their class are selected based on an essay they write about the teacher who contributed the most to their scholastic and personal development.
