Franklin County School offering free summer lunch

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. — Franklin County High School and the Laurel Library are hosting free lunches for children this summer.

Starting May 30, any child ages 3 through 18 can visit the Laurel Library from noon until 1 or the Franklin County High School from 11 until 12:30.

The Children do not have to be students in school.

Adults can also eat lunch for $3.

The program is Monday through Friday and will continue through June 30, but may continue into July if needed.

The USDA reimburses the school to cover the cost of the summer lunch program.

The goal of the program is to offer nutritious meals so that no child will go hungry.
