The Lady Cats soccer team got a 6-0 win at home Tuesday against New Castle. Franklin County recorded three goals in each half.
“It was a really pretty game with a lot of ball movement and connected passes,” said FCHS coach Cindy Adams. “Solid defending was our best offense as we had a lot of immediate transition from the back the front. Claudia Mauntel was our Player of the Game. She did excellent work on both ends of the pitch.”
Mauntel had three assists and teammate Lillian Ralph had one. Jordan Nichols scored a hat trick, Kamryn Dozier netted two goals while Lily Knapp scored once. Maegan Pearson got the win as keeper. Rookie freshman Liz Wendel made her varsity debut as keeper and had three saves.
We thank coach Adams for the information.
